VOTER APATHY AND VOTER FATIGUE

Voter turnout at yesterday’s presidential elections was only 65% in France; it was 66% in the UK in the last election and only 58% in Northern Ireland in the same election (http://www.ukpolitical.info/Turnout45.htm). There are many other countries where absenteeism seems to be rife yet elections are the cornerstone of democracy. Do your research and determine the reasons for voters’ disengagement with politics. When you are ready write an essay discussing them.
