COMPASSION FATIGUE

The need to put others wellbeing before our own, to show empathy, sympathy and understanding are all drummed into us from an early age. Couple this moral upbringing with a caring profession or the role of a care giver and compassion fatigue may set in. This often under reported problem affects many caregivers the world over and needs to be better understood. Do your research to find out what exactly compassion fatigue is and what its effects are. When you are ready, use your notes and your own opinions to discuss the issue.
