Uniforms
are worn in many walks of life such as factories, the army, the police,
hospitals, religious establishments and the like but they are also widely worn
in schools. However, policies vary greatly around the world: in the US, to the
best of my knowledge, there are no school uniforms in primary or secondary
schools, in the UK there are uniforms in secondary school but not in primary
school, in east Asia – Korea, Japan and China – uniforms are the norm all
through school. All this proves that there is a lot to say on both sides.
