BBC Documentary based listening into writing activity
Most of the developing world is struggling with a soaring young population who demand an education and jobs. Yet in Japan, the reverse is the case: the birth rate has been dropping drastically meaning that in 50 years, they will lose one third of the young population. The documentary below highlights the reasons and the effects of a declining birthrate and an aging population. You would be forgiven for thinking that a low birthrate is a good thing; it is not.
